While he certainly comes second compared to the Doctor, it can’t be denied that Rory Williams was heroic in his own right. Willing to wait for the woman he loved for 2000 years and to travel the universe trying to find his baby daughter, Rory certainly earns the title of badass.

Initially a comic foil for the drama of the series, Rory developed and matured over the course of his time on the show, to the point where he’s considered a proper companion by the fans. Having travelled with the 11th Doctor and married the wonderful Amy Pond, Rory had to contend with some strong personalities but refused to fade into the background.

While his sense of style was more conservative than the bow tie clad Time Lord, he definitely had his own distinct look.

Inspired by modern trends and a tendency towards lumberjack fashion, Rory’s look can only be described as outdoorsman-meets-city.

Compared to the Doctor and Amy, Rory was most adventure ready out of the TARDIS trio. Utilising sturdy footwear and hard-wearing fabrics, Rory’s wardrobe attained a rugged and rough-hewn elegance that suits most men on their more casual days.

The pieces presented here are a little pricier than Rory would probably opt for, but lower-end versions are available on most high streets, so be sure to check there before laying down any serious cash.

The henley is a really nice offering from Soul Cal. It’s currently on sale and adds a nice detail to an already well layered and textured look. Heleys (or grandad t-shirts) make a really good under-layer and add a cool vintage twist to an otherwise boring t-shirt.

These Levi’s 511s are a beautiful slim cut pair of jeans in a mid-indigo finish. The slimmer cut makes for a modern silhouette and creates a smooth through line to the boots. Worn with a small turn-up, they make a timeless addition to any man’s wardrobe.

Lastly, the boots featured are the beautiful Clarks Padley Alp boot. They’re a stylish take on the classic hiking boot that offers all the practicality and reliability of the source material, while remaining fashionable at the same time. The slimmer profile and tan colouring means they’ll transition from city streets to a woodland stroll incredibly easily!
